Youth
Being a youth they face emotional challenges in their developmental years. They may lack communication, interpersonal, or problem-solving skills that prevent them from realizing their potential. Or they could be showing signs of emotional distress, such as panic attacks, binging/purging, self-harm, and even suicidal ideation.
Perhaps they could be neurodiverse and having trouble finding their place in this chaotic world. Or maybe they simply need someone to talk to who they can trust to have their back.
At times, parents can feel powerless, watching their child slowly change into a different person who seems disconnected and isolated.
We strive to help both parents and youth navigate through these often challenging times with dignity and grace.
Athletes
As student-athlete it can be demanding, with the daily grind of balancing grades, training, and competing in sports, especially if you’re working to become an elite athlete. Playing sports requires athletes to be committed mentally and physically on both sides of the game.
For an athlete to play at their best, they must train their mind to effectively focus on the task at hand, maintain optimal levels of intensity, and remain emotionally centred engaged in the game.
Unfortunately, players can become their own worst enemy, doubting their own game and getting in their own head. This cycle often continues, and self-confidence and belief in one self begins to fade. We work with athletes to find a balance and remain focused.
We help all youth train their brain to balance life, academics and sports.
